Men Down!

Hello! I am looking for advice and info/direction. I left town to go back east 3.5 weeks ago, and before leaving, we had very usual Bay Area weather, with freezing temperatures. I put all of my cacti and succulents under a plant blanket before leaving. Fast forward to now. I've been home a few days, but I was working on some other stuff, and didn't mess with the cacti/succulents til yesterday. When I removed the blanket, I found 2 moon cacti, that had formerly been in perfect condition pale yellow, gelatinous blobs with a dense grey/silver fungus coating them. In another pot, I found the same. This was a succulent pot with Burrow Tail and Echeveria Afterglow. Half of the after glow was in the same state. Coated with deep layers of fungus, mushy and dead underneath it. Do I need to be worried about this having contaminated all plants that were under the blanket? Does anyone know what this is? Is there any sort of treatment? Will the plants that had sections die eventually die entirely? Thanks in advance.
