microtoms

microtoms

I've decided to do my brother-in-law, Tom a hanging basket with microtom tomato's in it (Tom-microtom ha ha). They are tiny, only about 5cm (2 inches) or so tall at the moment and already they have flower buds on them! Apparently the fruit are the size of peas and very sweet. My sister said to buy him socks or hankies but thats so boring and he's a real foodie. I've done one for me and one for him.

microtoms with my hand just to show the size.

the buds already forming!

This is a hosta in it's 2nd year from seed. I took the seeds from my very large hosta of which I have forgotton the name, planted them, and forgot all about them. They have done very well without me. I don't know if they'll grow true though.

Globe artichoke seedling.

Butternut squash grown from seeds my son took and dried from a bought squash.
