i’m in texas, zone 7 i believe, i can not figure out what in the world this plant is. i used a bit of semi decomposed compost in my beds, so it could certainly be from some food in my bin, but i just dont know what. it does look very similar to the cucumber plant in the next bed over, except it keeps growing out instead of up and its not growing the little plant arms that attach to a climber.

and if it is mold, what should i do about it?? its right where i planted my cowpeas. : ( the cowpeas on the other side of the row have started to sprout. but this side has the mold looking stuff, so i dont know whats going to happen.
