More garden gloating

My berries are all raised organically. I will say that my currants look awful this year (the leaves, not the fruits) because of a heavy infestation of aphids. After much thought and examination of the fruit, I opted to do nothing about the aphids. They were attracting many ladybugs, spiders, and other predatory bugs, and the only damage to the plant is cosmetic. The currants are huge and juicy and abundant.

My gooseberry plant is HUGE. And pokey. But I got 9 cups off it tonight. It’s getting moved this fall because it’s overpowering the blueberries and the currant (which coughed up 3 cups, and is also getting moved.) Next up: a bumper crop of boysenberries coming down the pike. I also have a ton of rhubarb and many more jalapenos ready to go. Wish my tomatoes were as far along!
