Hi! I know morning glories are a touchy subject, as I recently discovered when talking with my neighbor about my plans to let some run wild all over the icky chainlink fence that separates our properties. She joked that she’s been trying to kill off the morning glory on that fence, and I joked that I was planning on planting more. Except I really wasn’t joking.
So now that I can’t plant them along the fence, I considered putting them at the base of an oak tree, but that makes me wonder if I’d be inviting ants and other insects to chomp on my glories.
I have seen easy-to-make willow trellises and would consider one of those, but wanted to hear some opinions about morning glories wrapped around the tree.
