I'm preparing a move and when I am packing I have a lot of linens. I am a mother of many children but I have a ton of towels...holiday towels that were my grandmother's and such. Anyway...instead of packing my glass baking pans in newspaper I am packing them in my towels. It keeps my pans safe and cuts down on my unpacking trash at the other end. Another trick for packing--especially if you are moving more than one person or if you are moving small young children---get them involved so they aren't angry with the move I know these aren't necessarily "poor" skills....but if you are happier with an unexpected move...you can be happy in a cheaper home. BTW I am basically being thrown out on June 1st by my current husband an dI am still looking for a homw for my children and I. I still have high hopes that I will find someplace this weekend. If not I have two weeks left. I have little saved and not much coming in as I am a teacher with a few bills I have to pay. It's rough but we'll make it.
