My name is Jen and I live in St. Louis, Missouri. I’ve been watching this community for awhile. This past weekend, I moved in to an apartment for the first time without a roommate. Here are some pictures I took last night. I apologize for the quality, I must have been pretty tired when I took them, but I was too impatient to go back and redo them today.
This is a second floor apartment in a four-unit building. Not shown are the steps from the kitchen that go down in to the shared half basement with my washer and dryer and the steps from the living room door that go down to my front door where there’s a doorbell. Also, I have a back yard with lots of grass and plants maintained by the landlord and a small garage at the alley that’s a bit tricky, so I’ve been parking on the street. I probably won’t use the garage until a snow storm comes. There’s a balcony that comes off the bedroom, but I’m waiting for the landlord to replace the railing out there before I can use it.
Obviously, I need a kitchen table and chairs. Also, a bigger TV. The TV I have in the living room now was my bedroom TV. I’ve always lived with people who had bigger TVs so it hasn’t been an issue until now. I’m scouting craigslist.
