My favorite time of year!

My fringe trees are blooming! I bought my house in late November 2004, and there were these two trees in the back... kinda vaguely fruit tree-like (hard to tell since the leaves were done), but I had no idea what they were. Spring 2005 rolled around and the trees... did nothing. Every other tree was in bloom, and these things were still dormant. As spring edged closer to summer, I resigned myself to having two ugly trees. And then, right around the end of May, they proved me wrong. The burst into bloom, white delicate fringes like clouds floated off the previously dormant branches and my yard was filled with the sweetest scent... and then I discovered that I had two old fringe trees (Chionanthus virginicus) one male, one female, in my back yard. So here are two photos of white fluffy goodness:
