My gf and I finally bought our place!!

The entry hall is one of our favourite places in the house. We wanted everyone we loved to be there, that all our loved ones felt it was also their home so we decided to fill that wall in with fun pics. We love the result. We also love indirect light, so we decided to add a lamp.

On the left you go into the…

living-dining room.

We loved the chairs since the first time we saw them. They were expensive, but, well. They were worth it. We are putting a cool picture on the front wall, but we have no idea of what to put on the left wall. Any suggestion?

We wanted the house to be comfy, modern but warm, that you felt like sitting on the sofa with a blanket and feel you are safe and warm. And I think we have managed to do it.

What we really wanted was a voisserie, those kind of furniture that has a false chimney. We always wanted a house with a chimney, but it was too expensive :(

So, on the left of the corridor…

The kitchen!

There’s no much to comment on it, since it was already built when we bought the flat, so we’ll have to deal with it though we don’t really like it.

Out from the kitchen, to the back, a distributing room which goes to a room still to be decorated full of boxes which will be a future bedroom (for kids in, let’s say 10 years?), the downstairs bathroom, and the main bedroom. On the left, the stairs.

It’s not that dark, but I forgot to turn the lights on and the flash didn’t work. However, all the house is exterior, so we have had to spend a lot in curtains, because windows go down to the floor and sometimes there simply was too much light.

We love the way it is. We also love the “blind picture” over the bed. It gives a modern touch in all that “classic” environment.

So, going upstairs…

The stairs. We haven’t sweeped today LOL

Up the stairs there is a kind of living room which is the place where I write (I’m a writer). That door goes to another bedroom which my gf now uses as a kind of study (she’s a psychologist).

Down the stairs I’ll put the following poster which is now being framed, ‘cos a reference to NaNoWriMo HAD to be at my place.

This is my working place. It’s still being in process of decorating because my plan is to fill the walls with shelves and transform it into a library.

The back door goes to a dressing-room with access to another bathroom (which is now full of boxes with hundreds of books). Our plans is to demolish the wall with the door, and adjoin the dressing-room to the library and build a door leading to…

the terrace.

this is the area we want to glace to build a kind of gazebo so that we can use the terrace during the winter.

And the views…

We live around the centre of our town, but the flat is in an elevated area so we have privileged views of the city and the mountain. There’s fog today so you can’t really see it. But at night, when everything is illuminated, it’s simply stunning!!!
