My living/dining room!
I told someone a while back that I'd post pics of my beige/brown/green/orange living room. I guess the green I've used is more of an olive than a sage, it has definite brown undertones. In any case... here it is. I have a weird style that is very clean (and in a sense, modern), but with fun mid-century undertones. I'm a grad student on a serious budget, so all of this stuff was obtained at fantastic prices! I've had a lot of fun doing this living room, and I'm certainly not done with it yet! :) isn't my boyfriend cute living and dining are one.. very zen eurway vase 1 of 2 insanely cute canines i'm going to get two barstools for this wall.. either bright orange or black.. (the wise owl watches over us all) i just realized that painting is too high on the wall.. eeks my desk is combined with a bar to pay homage to the two things I do the most.. study and drink ;) if i were a burglar, i'd go straight for my bar the boy reads heinlein while wearing a rice university tee and sitting in a very mod chair.. to prove just how smart he is i have phenomenal taste in pillows curtains courtesy of target the shelves cost $4.99 apiece at IKEA (I also spray-painted them, they were lime green) and the mirrors cost I think $20 at IKEA... or less my coffee table books, or, "how to be really white" (all of the tables are todd oldham for la-z-boy that i got on overstock.com for a third of the original price) 3.9 lb super-dog look at how cute he is i had to add a pic of my younger son. he's cute, but things get a little hairy if you feed him after midnight... ;)
