Hey, this is my first post, I’m a 21 year old female from Australia. My boyfriend and I just bought a new home for us and our baby that’s on the way, so I thought I’d post pictures and just keep following on with later entries of the progress..
These pictures are the ones the real estate took, so none of the furniture is ours, but it’s the only pictures I have, when I get some of the empty house, I’ll post again..
This is the front of the house. We’re going to put a front fence with a gate, and we’re going to actually cement the driveway all the way to the back.
That door is our front door, we’re going to change it to a wooden one. This is the front room lounge/dining room.
This is the other end of the front room. The fireplace is going, because it’s all rusted and the roof is leaking around the flue.
This is the front bedroom, the previous people obviously used it as a loungeroom, but we’re going to use it as a computer/play room because it’s pretty big.

Everything in the kitchen is getting redone.. Everything is being ripped out, because it is just shit. We’re going to put in a U-shaped kitchen.
The bathroom is small, but there’s another large ensuite. I want to eventually fix up this bathroom, because I hate shower curtains, I’d rather shower doors and the vanity is starting to rot.
This room will be our babies room. This DEFINITELY needs to be painted, as the paint is about 10x brighter in real life!
The main bedroom, the door you can see leads into the ensuite. There’s two sets of inbuilts, so that will be good. The cupboard doors will be changed, because I hate doors being the same colour as walls. I’d rather light wooden doors, or just white ones, or something.
This is the barbecue area, that door is the laundry, which has a third toilet in it.
From the side of the house
The rickety fence splits the yard in two. The block is 740sqm. The garage is getting ripped down so we can put up a new double garage.

The plan is to paint the walls of course, the carpet is being ripped up in all the rooms, and tiles are being laid in the kitchen and lounge/dining. New carpet is going in all the bedrooms. The kitchen as I mentioned is being redone.
We want to get chocolate coloured furniture, with a mousse coloured lounge. Our decor is mostly glass, white & black. We have quite a few antiques as well.
Any suggestions/comments would be greatly appreciated and friends are always great too!
