My Peppers have a Problem.
I just joined. I've skimmed tags but am not really finding what I'm looking for. Around the beginning of Autumn, we bought an ornamental black pearl pepper plant (had been searching for it all through spring and summer) and when we got it, it was covered with peppers, which we harvested and used. then as it sat outside and the air got colder, of course it lost it's leaves and the plant became brittle like twigs. When we brought it back inside to hopefully keep it from dying, it seemed to shock back. All the leaves sprouted back and we've gotten lovely purple blooms on it as well as our first bud of a pepper. We've also got mold in the soil and what looks like little mold spores growing all over the stalks. It started as one or two and I swear they just looked like little fuzzy white bugs but they didn't move. I'd pick them off and wash my hands, and that'd be that but they're getting too extreme for me to pick them off anymore. They're all over it. I'm really a bad gardener. The only things I can usually keep alive are cacti and these pepper plants and anything in the garden that can survive with light water and minimal sun since we've got a shaded yard... but I'd really love to know how to save my plant. We love the look of the black leaves, tiny purple blossoms as well as the gorgeous peppers (not to mention the hot sauce we make out of them!) but don't have a clue what to do. Help? Please? I'm deleting the old pic and including this one instead: I just took it with my phone so sorry it's not great, but you can have a better look at the nasty stuff. I don't have the slightest idea where to begin and I'm desperate. Thanks for any help you can give.
