my plants love the sun, but it’s making me wilt…

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v299/unkai/gardenpics/wildfire3.jpg My one perfect rose. I am going to cry when it wilts :( Anyway. I have a question about pansies. We planted some pansies that look like these(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v299/unkai/gardenpics/seriesa6.jpg) maybe two years ago and they have been coming back ever since. But last year, these guys made an appearance, too: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v299/unkai/gardenpics/seriesa5.jpg I never planted them or anything, so I wonder: did the pansies go native on us? I mean, I love them--they creep all over and cover the ground and they have a million flowers. I just don't know where/how they came to be. Tangent: our bell pepper has increased its size by at least half in two days. Whoah, fella. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v299/unkai/gardenpics/seriesa4.jpg Finally, we have a very pitiful spot near our front door. It is shaded for most of the day except early morning. We don't have anything growing there right now, but my mom and I are looking for something to sort of "fill up" the area. Can anybody recommend some shade-loving shrubs or groundcovers? I think I live in zone 6.
