So, after living in a college apartment for three years, our mantle began to become a storage area for random collectibles. I decided it was time to start a project to clean up the area and help pull together the entire living space. So, with recent trips to Michael’s, lots of paint, and HGTV playing in the background, I began my battle…
For all my college friends, we’ve assigned names to each apartment… and ours happened to be The LoveBoat, basically because we housed a few couples. And so started the project…
First, I found this near a dumpster and thought I found gold! Dragged it up my stairs, and let it sit outside while I made my plans.
Then, started my painting…
Then, added my “LOVEBOAT” train…
And some rope and clothespins at the bottom…

SIDE PROJECT: CADC AGENDA BOARD
So, this isn’t really for the apartment in particular, but something crafty, nonetheless. I’m part of a hip hop team called CADC and I created an agenda board that we use at practices to determine what we’re doing everyday. We usually use it for our hell weeks (when we practice everyday before big competitions) and post up countdowns or fliers or upcoming events.

I used a lot of paper, ribbon, and pieces of cork sticker to put this together. It took quite a bit of time to get it the way I wanted it, but I’m quite satisfied. The clothespins at the bottom are to hold fliers of upcoming events, photos, or our countdown before big competitons/performances and the right side is a whiteboard to write the agenda for the practices.
