Well hello, and welcome to my room. Everything I own has to be crammed into my little room because I still live with my folks (augh!) because I live overseas right now. Also, I can’t paint the walls any colour because the cement my house is made of attracts mold like crazy, and I have to always wash it with bleach and vinegar. Painting it would be a pointless exercise.
Because my room is so small, you’ll see a whole lot of stuff, and very few pan shots, unfortunately. But don’t worry – I swear you’re not missing anything important. Only a huge and heavy walunit that I hate, but it’s too big to move out without a couple big men and a dolly.
BED:
^My bed before, it doesn’t look like this at the moment.
^My bed now. I don’t know if this is an improvement or not, but they are all my scarves on a curtain rod. It’s pretty much all I have on my walls, except an evil eye, posted later.
BOOKSHELF:
^The view from my bed. Pretty much everything in my room is on this bookshelf, except whatever I have in storage. That’s mostly more boooooks. It is my goal in my future home ownership…ness to have a book sanctuary (not a library – that implies sharing). Ooo! Kirk and Spock are on TV. :D Underneath my TV is where I keep all my spare stuff – incense, combs, etc…
STUFF ON MY BOOKSHELF:
^These trolls are from Denmark, i think NORWAY. I got them as presents. :D They are very…cute. When I get my own place, I want to put these in the kitchen. :)
^Here are some books I have, I’m not a fan of the books in this corner, except Gomorrah. I live in one of the areas described in this book, which is fascinating. Also, I am a pokemon master. Haaa…
^These are more to my taste. I love reason and fact, hypotheses, learning, and knowledge. Oooooh this is my second favourite shelf. It comes in second to my science fiction area.
^Mmmm, historical fiction. I promise, I won’t show you every book. Just a lot of them. :p That black thing with the little dirt coloured rocks is an incense burner – you light the charcoal on fire and the rocks burn, and it stinks to high heaven.
^Jean-Luc Picard guards my most treasured books – my sci-fi! My dad has Kirk and Spock, and I want to steal them… Or buy my own, as soon as I find a comic book store in Naples.
^I’m really only posting this picture to show you B2! I tried to win him in a claw machine like, 6 times. It kept falling out of the machine’s claw, and once I actually screamed in frustration, right in the restaruant. I have no self control. :+ Well, my mother won it for me, which was pretty damn great.
^And finally, for this portion, my cards! I don’t get very many.
DVD HIDEY:
^My DVD hidey that I got at Ikea, that broke. Argh. But still, it’s a real space saver. Hee hee, you can see my Star Trek, X Files and Dragonball Z.
^On top of my DVD hidey is my collection of sea glass and sea shells. You can see the shell shaped glass? That has terracotta from Capua, the third-largest ampitheatre in italy, and Spartacus supposedly fought there. All the shells and things will go into my bathroom, when I get my own home. Predictible, I know.
^I wanted to get a statue of Michelangelo’s David, but it didn’t look very nice. When I get back to the island I’ll get another one – they are made of hematite and volcanic rock.
DRESSER:
^In an effort to keep my clothes organized, i drew on post-its and taped them to my dresser drawers. It helps, for the most part.
^I collect art books from places I’ve visited. When I get my own place, these will be my coffee table books. that egg thing is where I keep all my necklaces and pendants. I want to get one of those dress statues with the wires, so they can be seen.
ETC:
^Lastly, here is my evil eye from Rabat, Morocco. It was a great time.
When i get my own place, I am going to have absolutely nothing in my room except my bed, my CD player and a dresser or two. And I can’t wait – the clutter is driving me maaaaaad…. I should store some of this stuff.
