Mystery pod and LOTS OF BEANS

Mystery pod and LOTS OF BEANS

I found this pod while on vacation.. unfortunately I didnt get a sample of the branch, it was alternate pinnate. What the HECK is this thing?

Mystery pod and LOTS OF BEANS

I was in Salt Lake City, it was growing on the street. It may be an introduced tree, there were lots of non native (Norway maple, fig trees).

I was thinking it’s an acacia, but the pod doesn’t have multiple seeds, just one large one.

??

my tomatos are unhappy (too much rain and not enough sun) but my BEANS.. wow. Happy happy. I’m not sure what either type is. They’re both pole beans. I got some seeds from a friend of mine who’s in laws live in Portugal, those are the white ones.

My trellises collapsed while I was on vacation, we had a windy storm ARGH. So I have a big beaney MESS.

I’m trying to figure out what to make for dinner with these babies.. all veg suggestions are welcome :)
