New Plants…

New Plants…

Today I got a call from my neighbor. She's been "teaching" me how to garden, which mostly consists of giving me plants (I don't mind!) :). She invited me over to get some plants that were ready for putting in the ground (we're in 8b). I came away with: 3 purple lantana 3 white lantana 1 bush gourd 3 emerald evergreen tomato Japanese black truffle tomato 2 swan gourds 2 cinnamon basil 2 marconi pepper 3 mexican gherkin and 6 gaura I'm pretty excited and couldn't keep myself from planting most of them in my wildflower/veggie bed. I'll need to get some trellises or something for the gourds, and more tomato cages. I also need to find a place for the guara. They are wildflowers but perennials (is that right? They come back, so they're perennials?). At any rate I'm looking forward to all of these neat plants.
hooray!
