I garden on my back porch mainly to add flavor to food. I grow mint, Italian parsley, basil, chives, garlic chives, and lately I’ve started growing peppers. I’m about to eat my first pepper… it looks tasty. The other pepper plants (i like spicy food) are doing well and hopefully will bear fruit soon.
Anyway, the reason I am posting is that I need a little help. I am growing these peppers from seeds, and one thing that’s growing is, well, not like the others. It seems happy enough, though I’m sure that’s not because of my gardening skills but rather it’s Miami and anything gets a good start here.
The seeds are from Home Depot, the Dirt is from Big Lots, and this thing is from, uh, I dunno.
I also took a closeup of a frond: Honestly, I’m worried enough about this that I might pull and dispose of the thing. I don’t know what it is at all and my google-fu is weak. Any advice appreciated, especially if it’s of the “gee that looks illegal” variety.
