Hello all. I'm new here. I grew up planting flowers every season with my mom but now that I'm on my own I'm growing herbs for food and other plants for aesthetic reasons. I've had a couple of questions and this community looks like a great place for some answers. Oh and I live in zone 8 in the panhandle of Florida. Very humid here. This is my container garden: I have sweet basil, oregano, cilantro and parsley (can't remember which kind). I'm not sure when to harvest any of it. I'm on a budget so I don't have the prettiest or real high quality pots. This is my basil (one of six). I've already thinned it out. I started from seeds. I'm not sure when I should harvest it. I was doing some reading via Google and previous to that I didn't even know basil flowered. And this is my sad little cilantro. I really want it for salsa. What can I do to help it? I water it once a day. The soil is the same that I have used for the other herbs that seem to be doing fine. Please help.
