No Interest CCs
So a little over a year ago, I moved all my CC debt (about $1500) onto a credit card with a 0% interest rate on transferred balances. I've been paying it down over about 14 months, and it's now just under $800. Now I've reached the month were the interest kicks in on this card. For credit rating purposes, is it better to keep the balance where it is and continue to pay it down over time with interest or is it better to now transfer the remaining balance to another new card with the 0% interest and close this one? If it matters, I have another CC with about the same amount of debt on it that is my "active" credit card (I've just finished my master's, am working very few hours, and so I do occasionally rely on the CC for purchases -- naughty I know, but it's ONLY for necessities like food, never for random crap I don't need).
