I currently have two trees - an Oklahoma Redbud and a Kwanzan. I live in the panhandle of Texas. I've had my Redbud for about two years now. This was its second winter in my yard, and my Kwanzan's first. I'm a bit concerned about my Redbud. It's supposed to have flowers in the winter and leaves in the spring. Well, this past winter was really mild. My Redbud started to show some budding flowers, but the flowers never bloomed. And it doesn't have any leaves yet. The flowerbuds are still there, however. Maybe this is me just worryworting. Maybe the mild winter has confused my tree? Also, how often should I water it?
