Norcal California Albertsons: 10 for 10 on CFC Bulbs.
Heads up, folks. Albertsons is/was running a 10/10 sale on a -four pack- of those fluorescent squiggly bulbs, 75 watts. That translates into $1 for four really good lightbulbs. We've been slowly replacing the dead bulbs in our house -- one bulb normally costs anywhere between $2.50 and $4.50 depending on where and when you shop, but PG&E went out on a limb apparently and subsidized the cost of the bulbs to the public. We were lucky and were on the lookout for lightbulbs, since one of the bulbs in the house just went out; we bought two packs. For $2. These things are really worth it for longevity; we bought one as an experiment over a year and a half ago, and in that time it's stayed good while other bulbs have been installed and blown out in the same time frame. (We get a lot of brownouts in our area.) I should be set for lightbulbs until I move places and lose them in the move. -Traveller
