Oh, for a dryer rack not at a 75 degree angle…

I've been air-drying my clothes for years. It's cheaper, and better on your clothes, so no complaints there. Here's my thing--I'm stuck with a clothing rack that looks consistently as if it's being body-checked by a very weak, very small, hockey player. I could go out and buy a new one--I've had this one less than a year--but all the ones I see in stores seem to be made of the same shoddy plastic-dowel-and-plywood combo. Even though I know it'd work better, I don't really have enough room in my apartment (nor a balcony or any other sort of outdoor area) for an actual clothesline. Racks are the only way to go. So I'd like to see if any of you have any ideas of either how to make my own drying rack, or what sort of stores might carry a decent one? I know that Gaiam has a few, but they seem to be on the large size, and pricey to ship...
