I was at our local scratch and dent store and found they had… rose bushes. I bought one. If I don’t kill it, it’s a climbing variety that produces orange blooms. And I’ve got this view from my house to the driveway I would prefer to block…
Um… so how do I plant this? The package says it needs 6+ hours of sun a day, and the location suits that need. It’s pretty rocky in that area, I was thinking of doing a raised bed and then filling with appropriate soil like stuff.
What kind of dirt do roses like? Any kind of added stuff? Food? I prefer to stay organic/natural. And what are the odds of this thing surviving a winter? I’m zone… 3? I think? Maybe 4. Way wicked cold. It’s also currently a big bundle of… twigs?
