Okay, so let’s hear it,,

I am simply DYING from anticipation of this coming Spring season! Though this will be my *LAST* year where major improvements will be made in my own yard (I've said that the past three years though, but THIS year I have enlisted the help of a good friend) as it was left in a pretty sad state when the previous owner became quite ill the last few years of his life. After that it's all just, plant this, plant that, upkeep, etc. Also, my best friend bought a house last summer, whilst heavily pregnant. So being busy with having a baby in August and all didn't have much opportunity with fussing with her new yard. So this Spring is the big to-do over her place (SO excited to get her hands dirty for the first time!) so I'll more or less be hijacking THAT yard too. Anyhow, down to business, how many of you guys and gals out there have done the whole "topsy turvy" thing? I'm hearing lots of things that I like the sound of through second and third hand parties, but not a lot of first hand experiences. I have seen a couple around town the past summer, but none were too impressive given the summer we had and the fact that NO ONE had tomatoes. But I did see a few that made me go "Oooh". I've been really considering it as I have a lot of places to hang things, and not a whole TON of room for pots, etc. This weekend though The Christmas Tree Shoppe had a similar product for sale. It was the whole kit, a hanging, upside down planter (thought not a collapsible bag like topsy turvy BUT it can be sowed directly into while right side up, so no awkward transplant of an immature plant) seeds, soil, instruction, etc. I got four of them, they were only about 5 bucks, so I figured why not giv ie a try, it certainly wasn't nearly as expensive as Topsy Turvy any how. I'm excited to see how they do, though I have been sitting on my thumbs for days already trying to keep myself from starting my seeds too soon.
