on elephant ears and rubber plants

I was given a rubber plant a few weeks ago. It's doing alright but it tends to droop just a little. Just curious -- how often do you rubber tree-owners water your plants? I also got a plant that reminds me of a smaller version of an elephant's ear. Sort of. It wasn't especially green when I bought it but now a few leaves are very yellow. Any ideas on caring for that one? I don't water it frequently (not more than 3 times a week) and would like to replant it once it starts looking a little healthier. And for good measure, could anyone ID this little guy:
