On the subject of downsizing…

On the subject of downsizing…

OK, so I'm a packrat. Not a dirty one who keeps old wrappers or anything, but whatever...I like stuff, and every time I go to throw something away I always think of something I MIGHT do with it, so I end up keeping it and then never using it, but feeling the need to keep it, and well, you know the M.O. Any rate, to make matters worse, we bought a condo wherein storage space is limited. We have a utility closet and a hall closet. We have been renovating so we have tools everywhere. It's driving even me, a pack rat, insane! So I guess my question, poor sklls people, is what do you do to downsize and make more efficient use of what little space you have? What are some efficient ways I can get rid of stuff that will put it to good use (I hate Craigslist because no one ever actually shows up when they say they will). How can I organize and downsize my life? How do I convince myself to LET GO of my stuff and live more simply? Better yet, how do you avoid the urge to accumulate more stuff...if I can figure out how to do that, I can save money. I guess the reason I posted this here is because making good use of small space seems to be a poor skill, but if there is somewhere better to post this, please let me know.
