Online home décor resources?

Hi all, After struggling with getting my home together for years (I am lousy at keeping things organized), I have bitten the biscuit and asked a professional organizer to come help me. I'm moving in exactly one week (aiee!) to a new and much larger space. Since I have very little by way of furniture (I often joke that I have more cats than furniture), this means that I am basically starting with an almost fresh slate. I want to decorate the whole space and furnish it like a real grown-up: I'm very excited. :) Anyway, for whatever reason, the professional organizer seems to think that she needs to help me with the decoration as well as the organization part of the process. I'm willing to humour her on this, since I can understand that she probably wants to have an idea of what she'll be working with herself rather than a blank canvas. She's coming on September 3rd, and has given me "homework": find pictures in magazines that I like so I can show her what style I want in my new home. Here's my problem: I can't seem to find anything! I must have looked through twenty magazines in two different shops today (the only ones I know of that carry such magazines, too), and nothing is even remotely close to what I want. It's as though all the home décor magazines this year decided to copy each other. Either everything is super modern and streamlined and designed in various shades of white and beige with glass and metal surfaces (pretty to look at but I'd never live in it), or else decoraAndted to look like... to be honest I'm not sure what that style is. They pretend that it's "country home," but I've never seen a country home that looks like that! All the "vintage" looks just looks as though someone has purposefully neglected all their wooden surfaces (who would DO that to a table?!?), or else is highly modern, or else is chock-full of really loud patterns that overwhelm the room. Or else are really, really fussy: bright and busy patterns combined with frilly throw covers and little knick-knacks everywhere. And if that wasn't bad enough, it's as though no one takes photographs of entire rooms anymore, either. It's all close-up shots of, say, the corner of a table. The only "whole room" pictures I found were of bathrooms and the occasional kitchen, which is NOT my priority: whatever happened to living rooms and dining rooms? Bah. I am getting most cynical about this. All I want is some photographs of some nice, simple, cozy country-style rooms, without any of the fancy schmancy stuff that seems to be in all the magazines these days. I have a good idea of what I want in my head, and so far I haven't been able to find a single picture that comes even close. Whatever happened to neutral colours and comfortable furniture? Whatever happened to plain old pine? Does anyone know of a good online resource for photographs of home decoration? I'm getting desperate here! Thanks for your help!
