Oven-less Recipes and Stinky Bathrooms

Oven-less Recipes and Stinky Bathrooms

I've just moved into my first apartment. I live in Uijongbu, ROK, which is pretty cheap and eating out/pre-packaged food isn't all that expensive, but I'd still like to cook for myself anyway, at least some of the time. My kitchen consists of: *half a gas range *a rice cooker *a toaster Any favorite stovetop only recipes you have? Or good websites that focus on oven-less cooking? So far I've just been making pasta, fried eggs, and French toast; I'd like to spice it up a bit. I figure I can make soups and fry things, but anything else? Any creative things I can do with the rice cooker? Only condition is that I don't like red meat and that 90% of the time I eat like a vegetarian, but I'm not opposed to a bit of chicken or fish. My other question is: the bathroom smells absolutely disgusting. I don't know why, or how, or what it is, but it's nasty. Like a cross between urine and copper. The last tenant left some bleach, which I'm going to put in the toilet and in the shower drain (no separate shower, just a shower head and a drain on the floor), but any other suggestions? I've also been running the fan in there nonstop. Air freshener just won't hide it. =/ I'd like to try and fix it myself before I complain to my employers (who found the apartment for me and have some kind of contract with the "landlord" or whoever). Thanks very much!
