I got em before the squirrels found them. Haha. And lookie. I threw a ginger root in a pot and it’s sprouted. Will it grow for a while or eventually peter out?

Crocuses
My crocuses are up! They’re blooming! Spring has finally come to zone 2b/3a! :D Usually I get mostly white ones. This year the large clumps are all purple. Weird.

My favourite autumn flowers have done so well this year. I planted them incredibly late – tubers went into ground early June. But by doing so, they missed all the black-fly and other pests.

A few pretty flowers, plus some unidentified growing objects. ;-) Clematis on Spirea. My Waterlily. I think it’s a “Rembrandt.” This picture is a couple of days old. There are two blooms now. Is this a Poppy? A lily? Yellow

This is sort of gardening, isn’t it?
These are blue oyster mushrooms, growing on newspaper, cardboard and coffee grounds in the bag the newspaper came in. Once the “log” is exhausted, the paper breaks down very quickly in the compost heap!

New Houseplants
We stopped off at Supple’s Nursery to get a bigger pot for our Aloe, and I ended up getting these 4 plants for $10! L-R: Ivy, Snake Plant, Peace Lilly, White African Violet I also got a grow light today
