I was given some paperwhite bulbs at the end of December. Potted them, they grew, they flowered, etc. Now the flowers are dead, and I'm just wondering what I do now. I know it is possible to save bulbs and re-plant... but I've never actually dealt with bulbs, so I don't know what to do. The stems & leaves are still green. I snipped the flowers off, as they were shedding all over my kitchen. Also, assuming I can save the bulbs and re-plant them sometime, is there any drawback to planting these in the ground outside? They are pretty, but they don't smell very nice, and I don't want to plant them inside again. (I wonder if their odor would discourage deer from my vegetables.) Thanks!
