Photophobic Plants??

Photophobic Plants??

Overly dramatic subject line -- couldn't ressit. I've been wondering about this since a "discussion" surrounding the Hydrangea: does anyone know of any plants that will grow away from the light? I know that (sun)light = food and the natural survival behavior of most plants is to grow toward it, so if I'm trying to fill in a mostly-shady spot I should put the shade tolerant plant is as little sun as I think it will deal with and let it expand into the less shaded area. I'm just wondering, in the spirit of horticultural curiosity, whether you've come across anything that prefers to lurk in shadows.
