I have posted photos of my garden on my Flickr account. It can be seen here. The house was purchased in April of last year, too late to do any garden renovations, and also I was 6 months pregnant at the time. I sat back and watched what the neighbors were doing, tried some things (corn, melons) that failed because I got too big and too busy with baby to follow through on plant care. Tomatoes did okay but would have done a lot better with more thorough soil improvement and fertilizing. This year after a lot of reading and research, I'm hoping to do a cold season crop and a warm season crop, on the same soil, interplanting for maximum yields. Cold season, haha, in this heat? At the same time, everything is still looking so small, and by looking at the seed packets I should be ready to harvest in um...a month? I really doubt it. I planned for the onions to be finished by the end of May so I could use that same dirt for corn/tomatoes, but the cold season crops, will they be ready in time? I guess if it gets to that, I can remove more grass. Feh, who needs grass anyway? In other news, it was 90 yesterday. I heard a pop pop pop, and I don't know if it was rain or the sound of all the buds exploding in the heat. (It was rain, I'm only joking. But man, everything has burst into leaves in the past 24 hours!)
