There’s something appearing in my yard. It’s on clover and cilantro here (I don’t think the cilantro is in the picture)
But it’s also on several other plants, including a cucumber plant, thirty feet away. It almost looks like tiny bugs or eggs, but when I touch it, it schmears like ash. I washed my hands thoroughly before touching any other plants just in case though.
On the upside – my cucumbers are flowering! And my tomato plants have itty bitty green tomatoes on them! My peas and spinach are bolting and I expect the parsley to bolt any time now, but if the stars align I might just get a 100% home grown salad sometime soon. Amazing considering that I’m having a major learning curve this year (first year out of containers in a new yard with a lot more plants I’ve never tried to grow before). My basils are also growing nicely but aren’t quite big enough to harvest anything yet.
