I am visiting my mother in Bowling Green, KY (Zone 6?) and she has a beautiful front garden area that she inherited from the previous homeowners. She has lived here for a little over 3 years now and she doesn’t know what most of the plants in the garden are. Fact is, she hardly takes care of the garden but when I come down I always putz around in it wishing I had half the flowers she had!
Anyways, I asked my mom what these plants were and she had no idea so I come to you guys to help me out! I have no clue either!
1. 
This seems to act like ground cover that spreads. It is beautiful and it pops up everywhere in her flower beds.
2. 
My mom has 4 of these bushes spread out in her garden.
3. 
The bright green shoots coming out of the ground. Not sure what this is!
