Plant id help please! (and a question about mulberry bushes/trees)

Plant ID help! This is growing in the back corner of my yard and it comes up every year. We just mow it down because we don't know what it is or was since it isn't in a flower bed. There are two of them and I'd like to move them further away from the fence if they are indeed what I think they are. plant Is this a daffodil plant? Also I have a quick question about mulberry trees. That stump in the back of that picture was a mulberry bush/tree. The neighbors behind us joined us in cutting it down but we can't get the stump out as it grows inbetween the fences of our side and the neighbors yard next to ours. The dang thing keeps coming back and both of us (back neighbors and ourselves) want it gone. The neighbors to the other side (that share this marvelous (sarcasm) bush) don't do anything about it and pretty much don't take care of their jungle of a yard beyond their shed. Is there a way to make this corner usable as a bed if I were diligent in cutting back the mulberry growth? Thanks for all your help guys! I really appreciate it!

Edited to add: I am in SE Michigan so I'm in zone 5 or 6 I think.
