plant jet lag/airplane abuse
I recently visited family in Michigan and ended up bringing a plant and a few cuttings back with me on the plane. I was only in the air for a total of about 2 1/2 hours, but I also had a two hour layover. Needless to say I'm a little worried about the plant (a large, recently repotted impatien) and cuttings (umbrella tree). The impatien didn't fare too badly but I'm worried about the cuttings. I wrapped them in wet paper towels and aluminum foil for travel but both were forcibly stowed (cranky flight attendant) in an overhead compartment during my connection from Atlanta. I'm curious... is there anything I can do to help them along? The impatien is sitting well-watered on my patio and the umbrella tree cuttings are in a jar of water. (This is my feeble attempt to get them to root). Thanks for any ideas. edited to fix awful spelling errors.
