Plant perennials in containers
Hello all, I have grown a lot more houseplants than outdoor plants, and while I've done it for a couple of years now, I only recently started researching gardening and becoming really (insanely, almost) interested in it. I live in Knoxville, Tennessee, where it is finally starting to warm up for good. Question: I planted a bunch of annuals in planters made of milk crates (w/liners) the other day and wondered if it is ok to plant perennials in containers as well. Sorry if it is a stupid question, I'm full of those. If you CAN plant perennials in containers, what do you do with them in the off season? Bring them in? Leave them out? I guess it probably depends on the plant, huh? I just wanted to hear some experiences from people who do this. Thanks!
