Planted my Lippia
I've finally planted my Lippia shrub today. Remember me whining about the plants that arrived and I couldn't plant them because it started to freeze and snow the next day? Well, it's warm now, and off they go. Lippia is a shrub/weed that can be planted instead of lawn. In theory it should grow into a lawn like matt we can step on but we won't have to mow. I've tried to eliminate all the grass that was there by first ripping it out and cutting it really short, then using jenniferwillow's hellbrew of vinegar, salt and lemon juice to get rid of the rest. My grass seems to be unsually tought though and I have a feeling that I'm going to pick grass blades forever after. Does anyone know a poison that only kills grass and leaves all other plants/weeds/flowers alive? I know it works with herbicides the other way around. They only kill weeds, flowers, regular plants and leave grass alone. Any ideas?
