Earlier this year Brecks was having a great sale on bulbs, so I picked out the ones I liked and figured I would decide where to put them later as delivery wasn’t slated until Autumn anyway. Well, later is rapidly approaching and I still haven’t a clue what to do with the bulbs to get the most show out of them. Can anyone recommend a site which could help me figure out the best way to showcase the various plants?
Also, can anyone help me identify this plant?

We live in a new subdivision, and beyond farmland I don’t have any specifics on what was here before. We also had sod put down, so again, I’m not sure what might have come in with it.
