Pomegranates in Zone 7?

Pomegranates in Zone 7?

Just wondering if anyone has any experience with them in Zone 7. I'm driving down to Edible Landscaping this weekend to get ligonberry bushes and they have a couple of varieties that are supposed to do well in protected areas of Zone 7. I have a spot next to my house where I pulled out a large crepe myrtle that I need to fill and I think it will work well there. Some of the information I've run across says that they'll have problems getting mature fruit if the summer isn't hot and long enough, but I haven't found hard numbers as to what is hot and long.
