Post decorating!

I posted my room a few months back after I first moved in. Now I've turned my room into something I'm really proud of, so I'm excited to share it with everyone here. A lot of the inspiration came from walking through ikea and looking at everyone else's rooms in this community, so thanks!

I live in Stafford, VA where I rent the basement of my sisters townhome. It's a great space, like a tiny efficiency.
So thank you all for sharing your lovely spaces!

The before pics can be found on the first page of this gallery (after the bathroom pics) http://pics.livejournal.com/frycookash/gallery/0000hee6?page=1

Now, my accomplishments!

Come on in!

Moving from the bed clock wise:

The bed. The desk used to sit here. I did a picture frame mural because well, so many people here have done them sucessfully and I really like the results. Just one example of the great inspiration I've drawn from you all! Also my window, the edge of the dresser and my tiny couch.

The tv used to sit here. Now its home to a dresser which my sister gave to me. I painted it and the lamps were given to me by a friend. You can't tell very well but they are the same green as the curtains. My butterfly chair needs a new cover, but its so perfect for video games it still has a home in my room! Moving on...

The back door, and the first of 4 set of wonderful ikea shelves. The wire going to my satellite reciever is gone now, I went out right after i took these and got an extender.

2nd set of shelves, coffee table (repurposed tv stand lol. The runner is made from excess fabric from hemming my curtains ^^) I really need to find some art to put above the tv. It looks so empty! Also my guitar and my guitar hero controller.

This is where the bed used to be. My dressform, My 3rd set of shelves, and my new shiny desk made from Ikea parts. The green ikea chair was the major inspiration for the green throughout the room. It was left over from my bedroom at home and I loved it too much to part with it. I got a big desk because I sew costumes and it HAD to be big enough for both the sewing machine and the computer (well. laptop until I get a new desktop cuz mine is well. broken...)

Close up of desk. Notice my love of all things ikea. And the random batteries. LOL.
To the right of the desk is another set of the same type of shelves that houses all my manga and the majority of my anime figurines. My camera was giving me crap so that pic didn't really turn out well.

Suggestions and Advice for further improvement are highly welcome!
Also, thank you all VERY much for the constant inspiration.
