Noobie me, I didn't know that daisies came in so many colors. White with a yellow middle is what I always thought of when I thought of daises. When I passed these at Home Desperate I could not resist. After two weeks under my care, they're doing really well. That makes them pretty tough! I had planted 15 tulip bulbs last fall. They were supposed to bloom in early spring. When the crocuses, daffodils, hyacinths and anemone came and mostly went I gave up on the tulips. Only, since I'm a sentimental noob when it comes to gardening, I didn't mow the grass over in the tulip spot-- just in case. When I came home from work last Wednesday, that flower greeted me. I took a pair of scissors to the pretty tall grass and found 5 tulip plants had emerged. Yay! You know what else is cool about the tulip? It opens and closes! I think the temperature does it but I could be wrong.
