As you can see in the above pic, the Tower is lined with Burlap. This has served me EXTREMELY well until just about 10 minutes ago. LOL
The Burlap is tearing. I donno WHY I didn't think about that, HUGE oversight on my part, and this bums me out, cause this tower design worked so darn well upon til now.
So here's the thing though. I'm obviously going to have to replace the Burlap, somehow.
Now, WWYD - Would you wait til Winter then wrap a different material around the Tower to re-enforce the Burlap but from the "outside of the tower" -OR- Would you remove the plants for the Winter, and redo the Tower from the inside as I've set it up originally?
The Plants are doing so well, spurted runners in every direction, produced their berries, etc, I'd hate to in any way compromise or jeopardize their performance next year. Hence I was thinking about re-enforcing the tower from the outside, so that the Burlap could merely brittle behind it, and at the same time I wouldn't "bother" the plants.
Any input on this would be appreciated!!
