Gardening with kids can be messy, frustrating and totally ineffective with garden hoses blasting and mud flying, things picked before they’re ripe and other assorted not-according-to-plan moments, but it can also be so rewarding. Today was one of the rewarding moments.
Most of my veg garden is in pots on the deck (I have more vermin than I can keep out without a tight fence) but even the zucchini is doing well and he was amazed that it could get that big. It was promptly turned into zucchini bread.
