Since we’ve been talking about repurposing furniture…I’ve got some bookcases made of that fake laminate wood stuff. Does anyone know if it would be possible for me to paint over that with a different shade of paint, like black? Would I need to apply a primer like Kilz first? And if I wanted to paint over furniture that has already been painted, should I put sand it first and put primer on? Any help would be appreciated. I feel inspired to change my decor over the long Memorial Day weekend.
