Rabbit manure

Rabbit manure

My neighbors have new pet rabbits and plenty of poo. They've said take as much as I want. I'd like to store up a bunch of it for next year to add to my soil, but I don't have a compost pile and have decided against one because of slugs. (I have a problem with them and don't want more) Could I just start gathering and storing the rabbit doobies in a trash bag, or perhaps a sealed plastic bin and leave that out over winter (zone 6, but our winters aren't that cold...St. Louis)? Another question about plants I have now: could I sprinkle rabbit doobies around plants or is that too much. Many years ago I was given three extraordinary spider plants that were huge and as healthy as you've ever seen. I fertilized using some Miracle Grow and burned them up, killing them. When I sadly threw everything out, I discovered a layer of rabbit poo in each pot...my friends raised rabbits. If I'd have known that was in there, I would have never added the Miracle Grow. :( So my concern has always been that rabbit poo might be too strong to use straight on the plant.
