Random veggie gardening – carrots
I had some potatoes and a beetroot in my cupboard that had gone soft and were starting to sprout, so I buried them in my front garden and they are now growing happily. I have so much empty space around the front garden (which is just a big mish-mash of various plants), that I've decided to plant random veggies and herbs and see what grows. Can I plant a carrot from my fridge and have it grow? Or do I need to buy seedlings? I have a feeling this is a stupid question, carrots only have one root right?
