Red Coriander Leaves

Red Coriander Leaves

Can anyone shed some light on why the leaves on my coriander plant are turning red? I am located in Sydney, Australia and the plant is in full sun for the vast majority of the day. Would it be that it is getting too much sun? I did a search on google, but all I got back was coriander and chili recipes.

I’m not sure, but my cilantro has started turning red as well, and the only thing I can think that has changed was the temperature. After we had a few nights of frost and cold temperatures I noticed the leaves turning red.
I have read on-line that it means they are about to bolt, but I have had cilantro go to seed without any change in the color of the leaves.
I have also read on-line that the plants could need water, or have some kind of nutrient deficiency in the soil, but the soil is not dry and the other plants are doing fine. Not sure if this has helped you, but if it has been cold where you have been maybe that could be it, if so maybe you could post a reply to let me know! ;-)
