This is my first year trying to grow onions. I know I can harvest some early by simply bending the tops over and letting the greens die. But I have some where the greens have died back on their own. I dug them up and they are too small to use in the kitchen. Can I save them and plant them again in the spring? The little bulbs are about the size of the last joint of my thumb.
